Notice to customers Bon Jour Unplugged

Due to a minor number of reports, we wish to inform our customers that the first version of the Bon Jour Unplugged rechargeable lamp, produced between October 2016 and July 2019*, may show signs of the battery overheating if charged for a prolonged period of time, with a further possible risk of the body of the lamp warping/melting. In some (extremely rare) cases, combustion and smoke emission have also resulted from contact with surrounding material.

Although the number of cases reported is very small, below 0.14% of total sales, Flos is applying a product safety policy that corresponds to the very highest standards. We are therefore providing a new replacement power supply kit at no cost to the customer, containing a next-generation rechargeable battery and complete with simple instructions (including video).

If you have purchased a Bon Jour Unplugged lamp in the period stated, please contact your retailer for your new set. As a precaution, we strongly advise that you do not use the lamp until it has been fitted with the new power supply kit.

If you have any other questions, please email customerservice-bju@flos.com

** These products can be identified in two ways. One option is to remove the top part of the lamp. If the underside has UL on it, no action is required.
Alternatively, look at the number on the charger socket. If the third digit is 6, 7 or 8, action is required. If the third digit is 9, action must be taken only if the first two digits are between 01 and 18.*

Notice to customers Skygarden 1 and Skygarden 2 halogen version

We have received some complaints about a malfunction of the halogen version of the Skygarden 1 and Skygarden 2 lamps, manufactured since 2007, which may derive from a possible fault in the terminal of the mechanical device used to bear the weight of the lamp. In extremely rare cases this defect might lead to the buckling of the lamp suspension system.

Although very few cases have been reported, and absolutely no damage has been caused to consumers, safety has always been a top priority for Flos. So for customers that have purchased these models in the period going from 2007 to June 2016, we have prepared a simple safety kit that can easily be mounted on these lamps by qualified technicians. We accordingly invite our customers to contact their nearest authorised Flos retailers to receive the information needed to obtain the safety kit, absolutely free of charge (assembly instructions can be downloaded here). For further information please send an email to the address customerservice-sky@flos.com

Notice to customers Romeo Moon S2 and Romeo Louis II S2

We have found how the improper use of some cleaning products on the articles could weaken the lighting suspension system, leading over time in some very rare cases, to its failure.

Although there have only been a very limited number of reports, safety has always been a priority for Flos. For customers who purchased these models between 1996 and the end of 2006, Flos has made a simple and easy-to-install safety booster kit available which is designed to prevent any form of deterioration in the product. We would therefore ask customers to contact their nearest authorised Flos retailer to receive the necessary information and a free safety booster kit, the assembly instructions for which can be downloaded. For further information write to customerservice-romeo@flos.com.
