Noctambule wins the Lighting Category of the EDIDA Awards 2020
The Elle Decoration international network has chosen Flos’ admirable collection of modular lights Noctambule, designed by Konstantin Grcic, as the 2020 winner in the Lighting Category of the prestigious EDIDA (ELLE Deco International Design Awards).
Voted by Elle Decoration’s 25 editors-in-chief around the world, the EDIDA recognizes global excellence in the interior design world in 14 categories. This year, due to the restrictive anti-pandemic measures still implemented in most countries, this unique decoration event, which usually takes place during the Salone del Mobile in Milan, has been promptly organized as a digital ceremony, and shown through the digital outlets of all the local Elle Decoration editions worldwide.
Noctambule is an ethereal, sculptural light made of cylindrical see-through blown glass modules that can be interconnected to create stunning floor and pendant lamps, enriched by a glass bowl or cone-shaped head. Almost invisible at daylight, its shape is outlined in the dark by warm, glowing rings which give a fascinating atmosphere to any environment.
The influential EDIDA Award confirms once again the excellence of Grcic’s sophisticated creation, which had previously received other coveted recognitions, such as the Interior Design’s Best of Year Awards 2019 as lighting winner in the Chandelier category, and the [d]arc Awards 2019 as Decorative Luminaires category winner.
